Site Renewal
Today I have made some slight cosmetic changes to the site, removing the left bar to make posts easier to read, and to allow more space for some new sections that have been added to the site. Now you can simply click on the link at the top of the page to access all of my latest articles in areas such as ‘Politics’, ‘Current Issues’ (including the Environment, Health Care etc), and ‘Ratings & Rankings’.
Please also check out my Translation Services, and feel free to contact me if I can be of any assistance with translating documents for you. I have more than 10 years experience as a Japanese to English translator, and specialize in legal, patent and business related documents. Please see the ‘Translation Services’ section for more information and contact details.
I have also added a section with RSS Headlines. There are only a few sites here so far, but I will be adding many more over the coming days and weeks. By clicking on the ‘RSS Headlines’ links, you can get all of the latest Japan related stories from News Agencies and Blogs around the web, all from the one page.
Finally there are links to another two sections that will be added over the next week or so, and which will be built up over time. The Guyjin Guide will be a directory of essential links to Japan related information and sites online. The Guyjin Shop will be the place to go for all of your Japan related shopping needs. I already have partnerships with half a dozen merchants, with more likely to come, and eventually you will be able to buy all kinds of things here, including Books, CDs & DVDs, T-shirts & Other Apparel, Gadgets, Japanese Learning & English Teaching Resources, Japanese Candy and other items. I will also have a calendar section for Japan themed 2010 calendars, which should be up within the week. I hope you enjoy these additions. They are all still in their infancy, but hopefully they will give you an idea of the scope and ambitions for this site going forward. Each of these sections will be growing a great deal in the coming weeks, so please check them out from time to time…
