2 months. 10,000 Hits. Thanks for your Support!

Today marks a full two months since Guyjin.me got off the ground, and we also achieved 10,000 hits earlier today. Also, some time tomorrow I expect to write the 100th post for this site. Thanks for all of your continued support over the last couple of months. I continue to be surprised by the growth, and hope to be able to provide more content in the future that is of interest.

I still have plenty of plans for the next couple of months, to add more to this site that I hope will be of interest. Last week I began picking out daily headlines (except on weekends), which are displayed at the top of the front page. These are also archived here. I will be adding further to this feature next month, by expanding the RSS Headlines section of the site. My aim is for you to be able to check out the latest japan related headlines for many major news services and japan-related blogs, all from within Guyjin.me.

I’ll also be expanding the Ratings & Rankings section over the next two months, with daily updates. This section already includes weekly TV Ratings and Box Office figures, and next month I will be adding weekly music and DVD rankings, and more.

Watch out too for the coming of the Japan Directory by the end of the year. This will start out as a directory of about 2,000 sites on a variety of subjects related to Japan, all handpicked by Guyjin. The Guyjin Shop will also be updated by the end of the year, with many more Japan-related products from trusted vendors, including study and teaching aids, Japanese movies and music, and other Japan-themed items. The shop section already includes hundreds of Japan-related 2010 calendars, and the Amazon Japan Guyjin Shop, which features thousands of items, from books and CDs to electronics, toys & figures, and even food & drinks. You can help show your support for this site by doing your shopping for Japanese calendars and other items through the Guyjin Shop.

All this, and many more posts about the latest news and information from Japan. Plus continuations of my ‘How I’ve Learned Japanese’ and ‘Japanese Words’ series (archived here). I guess that all means the next couple of months are going to be pretty busy for me…..
