Happy New Year from Guyjin!
あけましておめでとうございます！
Just a short post to wish everyone a happy new year. I’m looking forward to a big year in many ways, and hope that everyone that reads this will also enjoy a wonderful, prosperous year in 2010.
Contrary to many news reports, this is NOT the start of a new decade… (I even included a FT story the other day which claimed it was), since the first year AD was actually 1AD, and the end of the first decade AD was 10 AD, and not 9AD…. I know, its a pesky little detail, especially in the face of many reports that want to gain that extra bit of sensationalism by creating ‘best of the decade’ stories…. Here at Guyjin, I will wait until the end of the decade for that – the end of this year….
I have a lot of plans for this site this year, and hope that I can achieve even a fraction of them….
