First Medals for Japan: Nagashima and Kato take Silver and Bronze in Men’s 500m Speed Skating

Japan has claimed it’s first medals of the Vancouver games, claiming the silver and bronze medals in the Men’s 500m Speed Skating. The Winter Olympics in Vancouver got underway yesterday, with 94 Japanese athletes to compete in 14 different sports (all except ice hockey).
